what i do for extra green
As Dizzie mentioned in his sticky mutatis mutandis penny pinching and small bill hoarding are a great way to make money. When i was 11 i started stealing a dollar a day from my parents, just ones off the table, change from shopping. After a few weeks i moved up to 10 dollars a day. you get 3650 dollars a year. Your parents dont notice if you steal in one's and quarters but it adds up (I stole a fair chunk of my dads income without him noticing, but in return i paid for a substantial portion of my higher education from both this and my joba at the time) . I saved up over 10g in 3 years (mind you this was from 11-14 so this was an insane amount of money for me) i kept it hidden in a safe in my closet all rolled up tight. i stole ten dollars a day, every day. not just from my parents maybe 3 from my mom 4 from my dad 3 in quarters from my teachers and the ground etc. if you do this you will end up with a ton of extra cash. i still do it and i've been out of the hous for six years. i now put it in the bank and i have mas o menos 15g saved up (i probably had maybe 45g but i spent a fair chunk on college other than that i dont spend a ton of it its mostly its my emergency money). its the greatest deal of all time. if you run out of places to jack ones fives and quarters here are some places: tip jars at deli's/cafe's just snag some off the top while the counter girl's not looking, laundrymats if someone hasnt picked up there laundy search the pockets of there pants, people often don not check the pockets of there pants for cash before washing them, there are tons of other places where you can find small bills.
just remember slow and steady wins the race.
if you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Interesting... I may build a small wooden box with no way of opening (like a piggy bank) to fill with cash before smashing open. Let us see what happens.

It's not about being desperate, it's the the fact that extreme amounts of penny pinching (in all forms) will lead a quite big stash in the future.

I find pennies all over the place and always collect them up.
I've recently started saving up too, I've spent a lot in my life, the money's going towards my future now.
If you can save your money you're fine, yeah it's nice to reward yourself for your dirty work, but what use was it afterwards if you suddenly have to stop ops and then have no money at the end of your hard work to send, you will feel disappointed. If you make 500 in a week then take 100 out and put it towards your saved cash.
I do the same with weed, I always leave 1 gram and put it in an emergency bag which I call a pot luck bag. For emergencies. I'm never out of weed.
All it is simply called is saving, not rocket science.
That's fine though, you get loose change and the rest of us can make 1k in under 3 days and still save up.

to each his own my friend but think of it if you've tossed a quarter a day since you were 14 and i'm just for arguments sake make you 20 years old, you would have lost 547.50$ (this could be more or less depending on how long you've kept up this habit) you cold buy yourself a shitload of beer or weed or pay rent or bills or what have you. thats just one quarter a day. if you throw out the clink every time you get it its probably a lot more. but whatever floats you your boat man i can only serve to benefit from your wastefulness.

Find a wishing well/fountain, preferably in a tourist hot spot, and place a fine-meshed net in it, weighed down with stones. Come back in a while and pick up your loot. If the fountain is regularly checked or you don't want to wait, get a standard beige jumpsuit, a broom and a scoop net, and start sweeping it up.
Make fake charity donation jars and ask small businesses if you could please place one at their counter.
Restaurants, especially outdoor restaurants, are a goldmine for picking up stray tips (and while you're at it, stray food).
Check under drive-thru windows, in between cushions in libraries, between seats on the bus, and anywhere else people sit down. If there's an amusement park or a fair near you, hop the fence and look underneath some roller coasters (speaking of roller coasters, be the first one off a ride and collect 'your' wallet/purse/camera from the storage basket before anyone else does).
There's a couple more tips in the coin harvesting textfile, but I think they've all been covered already.

At least throw them on the footpath to keep it in circulation.

dizzie thanks for the sugestions i've done wishng wells and public couch cushions etc. the amusement park wallet collection is new no me i like it. and i've done the charity box one but its not my cup of tea.
a few other suggestions of my own: restaurants... on your way out if you see someones tip lying on the table snag a dollar or 3 (not all cuz you don't want to cheat the waitress to much), public pools (ymca etc.) most people dont lock there shit in their lockers its easy as pie from there. and many more just ask
A side note: your site is exceptional. i've been using it for scam ideas for ages. if there are any sites like that that either are better or take a different aproach to scaming and free living please do tell.

Your local news website is probably the best or any consumer reporting websites, like ClarkHoward.com.
Basically, any website that reports or alerts people to ongoing scams, that actually worked. If that doesn't spur your thoughts, nothing will.

near my old place there was a bridge that tourists would throw coins into the bush below. me and my mates would go down there and pick them up, we made quite a bit of cash ($20 total, but when your ten that seems like a million)
