Default Whitehouse Scam & Question

As many of you may have seen there is a show called "The Real Hustle" which shows various different scams pulled of by professional, i just thought id share with you one that works and is a good way of getting free stuff, the scam is known as "The Whitehouse Scam" Or "The Refund Scam".

How To:

1. Look For An Item That You Want To Get For Free (Preferably Not Near The Checkout)
2. Pick Up The Item And Leave It Near The Entrance But Not Where Anyone Will See You Pick It Up Later.
3. Go Back And Pick Up The Same Item And Buy It.
4. Go Outside With The Receipt And Get A Friend To Hold Onto Said Item.
5. Return Into The Shop And Quickly Pick Up The Item You Placed Down Earlier.
6. Take It To The Checkout And Say You'd Like To Return It, Go With It And Once You Got Your Money Back Walk Out.
7. Now You Have Your Money Back And The Item You Wanted For Free.

I Have Done This Before With A £25 Joop Gift Set And It Worked Perfectly.

Also Would It Be Possible To Make A Fake Receipt Which Could Be Used For The Whitehouse Scam That The Employee Will Actually Think Is Legitimate ?

There's all sorts of petty variations on this, like finding a receipt in the trash outside the shop, then going in and picking up that same item and returning it, etc... And various countermeasures some stores do to attempt to prevent it like place a special sticker on the item to mark it as a return when you walk into the store, and so on and so forth. At any rate, this should be in the shoplifting thread (which I've renamed 'Shoplifting and Retail Fraud' to clear up gray areas such as this).
