Default Using someones ID

I AM NOT ATTEMPTING TO PURCHASE AN ID HERE
Just a hypothetical scenario below;

I'm going to buy an ID from someone(already found them not looking for someone here) with same hair and eye color as me, then they can use a bit of the money to go replace their lost ID at the DMV.

I have used a friends expired permit to buy blunt sticks before and the guy swiped it and told me it was expired(it expired a few years back) but he sold me it anyway. Did the machine tell him it was expired, or did he read the date on it?! The permit and license had the same numbers on them though the license wasn't expired, but would the barcodes contain different info?

Do you think as some kind of security measure or otherwise, when you get a replacement ID they de activate the old one or flag it as lost so it won't swipe correctly? Would their new ID have a different number / bar code then the old one?

This is all in Kansas by the way.

Also this is almost foolproof way to buy beer right? I look similar to picture, and memorize the details on it incase they ask to test me. Worst that would happen is they turn me away right?

I'm not sure what blunt sticks are? But if you require a permit and has a magnetic stripe, it would probably would show the expiry date.

No this is not foolproof, in Canada, it would be impossible to buy liquor, from LCBO (Government Liquor Store) as the personel are trained to ask ID for anybody who appears under 30, and check ears, nose and facial structure and to verify height. In Ontario, alcohol laws are very strict, I was an LCBO employee, a year or two back, and we barely see any Fake IDs, probably 5-6 a week.
It should be ok for US convenience stores.I would reccomend you to put on some light make up to make you look a bit older. The worst is that you get a misdemeanor, but usually they just confiscate the card and turn it to the police at the end of the week and is returned to the owner.

Thanks for replying! Im in Kansas so luckily no hardcore Canadian analyzation

So, when my friend goes to get his new license to replace the one he gave me, there is no way for the DMV to de-activate the old one right? It will work until it expires?

I am surprised the DMV doesn't have a database the ID scanners can check against so they could flag lost or stolen IDs, that would be a good way for them to prevent what I want to do.

Also, in Kansas you cant buy liquor from anywhere but a liquor store or a bar. Gas stations, supermarkets etc can only sell 3.2 beer which is not worth the money.

oh a blunt stick is a cigar you use to roll a blunt with weed inside. cheap cigars like swisher sweet or philly cigarello

But alot of places i know my friends have used and got away with fake ID to buy beer cigs, clubs, etc..

Well, I guess. I live in the GTA, and it's pretty strict around here with IDs. With the enchanced Ontario Drivers License, the fake ones we see are from other provinces, and the usa. It pays well though, good benefits. By law, they shouldn't be alowing you to buy it. Atleast, that's how I was trained.

In licensed establishments in Ontario, to serve liquor you would have to take a SmartServe Exam, and receive a 70 or 75 or higher (I'm not sure, it's either one). Employees are trained to ask for I.D. who appears to look under 25.

And, in my restaurant, I'm pretty strict about Fake I.Ds and making sure no one under 19 is drinking because, if I do get caught, when I am the manager/supervisor that night, our LLBO license would be suspended, and thats a significant loss.

They're implementing enchanced driver's licenses everywhere now, and soon the only way to get a "Fake ID" would be through fraud.

It should scan fine, if the police every scan your card, I'm not sure if it would appear flagged on their system. I don't think they would cross-reference it though. Just don't get caught by police.
