Post random/interesting news stories.
I saw this today and it felt strange to be reading about current pirates. But I though it was interesting.

It does sound somewhat funny. You would think that in an age with radio communication, satellite surveillance and so forth it wouldn't be possible. Or that a swift and harsh response would be forthcoming.
It seems the pirates are steering toward a safe port while they wait for the ransom. Or possibly to unload the tanks. Surely a shipload of tanks would be worth more than the $35 million they are asking. But I guess you have to have a buyer. Easier to sell them back.

Speech and sight do nothing to stop a boatload of people with intentions and assault rifles. They can only let you know that said boat is coming.
I do not believe that piracy has ever died down. I am sure that it is good money, if you can pull it off. I believe that the reason most people don't know about piracy these days is not only because there are more boats moving around (and subsequently less piracy acts per boat trip...thing...), but also because the antics of the latest evictee on Big Brother are far more important to showcase on the news than any sort of piracy...
This story is a week old, and it's...well...a little bit weird...

The ship "Danica White" was boarded by pirates last year and the crew of the ship were held captive for several months as our government refused to "give into the demands of terrorists".

True. But we aren't talking about a hit-and-run attack where the pirates grab the cash/jewels and disappear. They hijacked an entire cargo ship, which is impossible to hide.
Taking hostages is the key here. If it wasn't for that the ship could simply be targeted by whatever was handy.
Re. weird story: what kind of idiots have sex on a railway track? And why didn't they move? Darwin award contenders.

That vending machine would be so nice, no hassle of dealers. Oooh, the idea just makes me tingle. And how do you get on the trials for the medicinal uses of marijuana, that would be an awesome job?

An entire cargo ship full of battle tanks, no less.
It is impossible to hide. But by that point, it is piracy. Available technology remains impotent in prevention; it can only warn.
This politics news story is amusing - watch / listen to the video. In my opinion, one can at least respect Little Johnny for making the speech mildly interesting; meanwhile, the Canadian counterpart spoke too fast and almost in monotone...

That Marijuana Vending Machine is a dream. Oh to live in California, i hear getting the cards in the LA area is absolute cake. I know Doctors in UT who will prescribe you anything, but that stuff is a little messy to me, I would really enjoy a vending machine, probably could find more Afgani and White Lotus with that too. Never comes through. That african sex thing was horrible and hilarious.

True. But hijacking the ship is only half the job. Getting away with it, (and the ransom,) is the other half. That's the difficult part.

This is pretty old news but its wierd and in a way funny.(I cant find a link at this time but I will try to get one soon.)
A bunch of third graders were arrested for attempted murder on there teacher. They had a broken dteak knife, duct tape, and a paper weight. They had palnned to knock her out with the paper weight. and duct tape her mouth and kill her with the knife. The reason behind the planned attack was because she got on to one of the kids for standing on a seat in class.

That's a worry. Based on that article, Bombshock would almost certainly be censored.
Protecting minors from internet porn is best done by their parents. Censoring the whole country is dumb.
