Default Landing on the Moon

I know this is old news but just wondering everyone’s take on the whole Neil Armstrong moon landing. There is a bunch of websites debating the topic. I didn’t realize until recently that some many people believe that we didn’t land on the moon. What do you believe? Did we land or not??

It was an intersting idea when I was younger, and I even bought into it a little, but only because no one provided an explanation for the apparent contradictions. NASA didn't deem it worthy enough of their time .

After that I stopped caring, and some time later Mythbusters did a special on it.

I still wonder about how much of a feat of engineering it was, but there's no real evidence to say it didn't happen.

You can't argue with Mythbusters. I think that pretty much settles it.

Mythbusters have gotten quite a few things wrong in their time (exploding soda cans, ice bullets, etc), but this one was solid.

Every conspiracy theory show on earth has done a special on the moon landing, it's a tired old story.

I've never even heard of that.

Apparently, neither has Google. Earrant space radiation - Google Search

I checked other spellings ("errant") but I'm not getting anything involving the moon landing.

Ya, all I came up with in my search is the QUARTERLY JOURNAL.

which has nothing to do with the moon.

I'd always heard the argument about the Van Allen belt being impossible to survive passing through without lead lined walls, but supposedly it's not actually a significant amount of radiation.

In four days we may know for sure if we landed on the moon years ago. NASA just launched an unmanned rocket to the moon to search for ice. Maybe they can snap a few shots of old rovers for the non believers.

I hope North Koera saw the launch. Thats gota make their dicks feel small seeing a real rocket lift off and not break up in the atmosphere.

Don't be silly Ferret, the unmanned rover doesn't really exist - it's all on a sound stage in Area 51. I mean really, how could somebody make a vehicle that flew all by itself - that's just silly.

Todays mission must be so they can plant "evidence" on the moon.

Sounds plausible. But when we find little wooden sandal prints made by the North Koreans a few months ago, we won't be the ones laughing then.

Jokes aside, a vast majority of the arguments I've seen in opposition to the validity of the original landing on the moon have been hearsay and just total garbage. Saying things that sound believable, but without much if any evidence behind them. A lot of it comes down to: "This old guy worked for NASA and told our website that he was there, and they faked it."

Of course, the debunkers often sound like that too.

It's like a game of tennis, opening two browser tabs, having a conspiracy theorist's website open in one, and the debunker's in another. Back and forth, in the end, the one debunking generally is the one that sounds like less of an idiot.

I think we landed on the moon, if someone gave me some hard evidence to the contrary, I would shrug, say, "cool", and continue on sipping my Dr. Pepper.
