Synchronium, we seem to be perfect for one another, in a debating sense. Lol. Perhaps you should try John Hick's "The Fifth Dimension: An Exploration of the Spiritual Realm." I know it may not sound like something in which you would be interested, but Hick does make some very interesting points, and I believe you could use a mind-opening read. No I am not a religious fanatic. I am simply interested in all points of view, in order to better understand what it is that I am arguing. I will, therefore, do some research on this "hero" of yours, and if you do decide to look up John Hick, keep in mind that so far everything I have read of his has been exactly to the point of what I myself believe. I suppose that he is my "hero." Lol. Until next time.
Allow me to clarify something very quickly. I was not specific enough when I said that I believe everything that Hick does. I meant, more to the point, that his book "The Fifth Dimension" seems to hit on every spiritual point I myself believe. That religion is irrelevant, because there is one Ultimate Real, no matter what you call it. That the human race is linked through a system I myself refer to as a "psychic spider web" (cheesy, yes, but paints a very clear picture of what I mean). He makes many other points with which I strongly agree. In fact, I have yet to come across anything in this book with which I disagree. I am still searching, though. This is a book that I read over and over again, underlining and highlighting the more crucial statements. I am not a Christian, nor do I belong to any other modern religion with a specific set of rules and beliefs. I am a Pagan, and follow the laws of karma as I see them. I am, however, very open to the beliefs of others, and believe in the Ultimate Real, as I mentioned earlier. This Real is the same, whether you call it God, Buddha, Isis, or Allah. I simply identify better with the persona of the "goddess" Isis.
