Rep Power: 0 | | Go to your local hardware store and get a diamond tipped glass cutter, and a small razor knife. Cut off screen from window, cut hole in window, unlock window, climb in through window.
As far as the doors are considered, what kind of doors are they?
And what time do you intend on getting into this house? Day or night? |

is there a fence, what kind of security device? how do you know?
can anyone see you in the back? what about by the windows?
I would recommend through the window like i said, with pepper spray and a taser. you never know what will come your way. Make sure you have a pre-determined escape route. possibly have your car parked 6-7 blocks away, and just run through peoples yards and whatnot to get to it. It's advisiable to make sure there are no dogs in these yards either, you don't want to jump a fence and find yourself next to a pitbull. |

Pitbulls can run way faster than one of those things can go.
Going at night is probably a bad idea - people sleep at night, but they're typically home - meaning there's alot more to be worried about.
The dogs: pepper spray will only piss them off. Pitbulls are tenacious little suckers, and pepper spray won't even phase them. Bring some raw meat along, beef is preferred. Toss it to the dogs when you arrive - you just became their best friend.
Unnamed's suggestion about cutting the glass should work fine to get you in.
You need no less than two escape routes, and you need a way to change your appearance after you're finished. Wear a black shirt on your way in and on your way out, go a block, and put on a red jacket - you no longer match the description of the guy who went into the house.
Tools:
Hammer
Crowbar
Air in a Can
Slotted screwdriver
Glass cutter
Gloves
Backpack

Rep Power: 8 | | You can get a glass cutter at any hardware store, Home Depot, or Lowes.
Air in a can is the little cans people use to remove dust from electronic devices. They spray compressed CO2. If you spray them upside down, they spray liquid CO2 which is cold enough to crystalize the inside of a lock - making it fragile.

Rep Power: 0 | | Read the post thoroughly, I believe I said you could get the glass cutter at a hardware store. Also, follow shetlans advice, mine was bare minimums, his is a more exceptional toolset. You didn't mention the dogs before, and you didn't mention you had already been in the house casin it. Why would you ask how to get in, when it is obviously not an issue for you. From now on all you need is experience, we'll also answer any questions you may have even still. but gaining experience is the best way to improve your skills rather than asking questions on a forum. |

Rep Power: 4 | | Come on, are you serious? Cutting the glass is only in the movies, it doesn't actually work. I have tried it multiple times, it does not work at all. You have to score both sides of the glass. I worked in a glass and mirror shop over the summer and tried it many times.

Rep Power: 8 | | Eh, my experience with glass cutters is hit or miss. I dont' care for them because they tend to make noise either way - which is why I recommended a crowbar as well.

Rep Power: 4 | | Yes, there is no age requirement to buy a damn glass cutter. Just steal the thing anyway, they are small, and hardware stores are so easy to steal from.
Shetlan, if your concerned about noise from a glass cutter, what the hell are you doing with a crow bar. Regardless of how you use it it will be louder than a cutter. Cutter's just make a scratching sound, crow bars make a shattering sound, not to metion the noise of the glass hitting the floor. Chances are you will find an unlocked window or door, if not wait another day. I know it's hard to have patience but it is well worth the wait. If you can enter without force, it can take the homeowner longer to realize anything has happened. Time is then on your side to fence the goods or let the whole issue blow over. Have any of you ever robbed a house? Because it sure doesn't sound like it. Get in, get the loot, don't trash shit, and get the fuck out.

Chevy | I've never had a problem. I cut the glass into a circle, hit the circle with my elbow, unlock said window, and I'm in. The glass cutter is simply to weaken a target area of glass. Yes it get's noisy sometimes, but I really don't care, my experience overrules your opinion. Chevy, I've read some of your posts on here, I like your display name, and even your sig, but you come across as a very antagonistic person, you should get that checked out. |

Rep Power: 11 | | Why not pull the rubber lining out of the frame? The window will come right out. Plus it makes no sound. A few days before your go time, you could pull out all but a small section of the liner, then on mission day, pull out the remaining amount.
Use a toilet plunger to hold the glass, so it doesn't fall and smash on the floor. Or if the mission allows, get on the roof and pell back the shinges from a corner. The use a crow bar to pry up the pliwood. That will get you into the atic. I've never broke into a house before but could think of quit a few ways to get in.
On that note, YOU probably should pick another line of work if you are not creative enough to get into a home on your own. Seriously, in the B&E field thats day one stuff, or B&E 101.
Sorry to put you out.

I and many others are just tired of the bullshit posts on here. I doubt your B&E experience is more than mine but how can either of us debate that. Funny thing being I was just inside of a house two days ago, hint hint, I was not supposed to be there. I might just have a brand new Snap On ratchet set, PSP, Ruger .22 SA, and keys to a p.o.s. toyota. But then again I could be lying to you so that I look kewl to all the children on this leet forum.

Chevy | I see your point.
As far as our experience is concerned, true, there is no way of knowing who has more, but does it really matter? We are both skilled in what we do, and our experience has taught us different and varying techniques. What works for guy A doesn't work for guy B, it's all about finding your groove. I myself haven't done B&E in quite a while, something I might remedy quite soon. But I felt I was done learning B&E and moved on to bigger things(my mistake). The advice I gave, was the techniques I used towards the end of my B&Eing, I didn't think telling him to throw a brick would be good advice. lol.
By the way Chevy, I do apologize for my assumption of your character. | |
