Iv been doing this for a good few years now as much as i can in this shit climate and one of the most important factors i believe is good footwear. DON'T go for those flashy ass high priced nike or adidas coz your paying over £60-70 for a flasy label with a fukin stupid tick on it. As well as the fact that get filthy and easily damaged after 1 serious excersise. If I were you id go for some outdoor extreme shoes form brands such as Merrell (Dont know if it's spelled right). Made from Goretex to be Extremely tough, I picked up a pair from Blacks for £27 (down form &57 go january sales) as well as that they grip like a MOTHERFUCKER and are convexed near the front for extra forward spring for moving fast.
My advice would be to find a wall thats almost vertical but a bit slanted to practice on, I have a brilliant one near a bud's house, it even had acute angle corners to run around! This got me started and given me a feel for it but i would also advise practicing with BOTH left and right sides of the wall otherwise you could be in some pain.
Just make sure to not do it in the rain or just after and if you wanna get really good try it in New Rocks like me
