don't lose the fear, just channel it with your adrenaline into agression. and then it helps to know how to fight, or at least some basic principles.
for methods of fighting i believe the first of the James bond books has some basic tips.

When you use the term bullies, it seems as if you're in middle school? How old are you? If you're not really in your teens, then you could find some other way to scare them off besides beating them down. Violence isn't always the answer.
If they truly are bullies, and not brave ones, you just need to show them that you're not going to be pushed around.
Another idea would be to carry an improvised weapon. Something inconspicuous, like a hard object in your pocket. That way it wouldn't be called a weapon, and say you just felt so scared that you felt you had to defend yourself.
Good luck, and I personally don't want you to kill someone.

Learn to take a hit. My biggest problem, is not knowing where they're gunna hit. So you could just learn to take a hit, and learn how to stand up for yourself. No shame in losing in a two on one.

The only way to lose the fear is to fight, and learn to cope. Try martial arts or boxing, something that does contact sparring. Fear is crippling. I personally think it's harder to overcome than pain.

Hey hey hey, when I said an improvised weapon, I also said inconspicuous. The quote below depends on where you live.

Because of the use of common objects as weapons in violent crimes, many countries have made laws to prevent the use of some tools and other non-weapon objects to be used to cause harm. It is possible for a person to be detained, or even arrested, by a Law enforcement official or security personnel for carrying an object in a situation where there is no reasonable use for it. For example, While it is legal and perfectly understandable for someone to posses a kitchen knife or a hammer and keep it for use in one's domicile, it would seem highly suspicious for someone to carry a kitchen knife or a hammer concealed in his/her person or in plain sight when walking down a city street.

The sharpened comb seems like a good idea, just don't sharpen enough to make it look like it was meant for injuring rather than combing your hair.

1) Get hurt. It doesn't matter if its skinning your knees and putting metho on them or getting decent flesh wounds. Hell - even try a few tequila stuntmen. Try to do things that are fun that will get you hurt, or else you'll back-out pretty soon.
2) Get a few good scars. This way, you wont be so afraid of "getting your face messed up" etc, and also they make you look BadAss(r). [Think along the lines of the Narrator in FightClub, getting closer to hitting rock bottom, via lye burns and fighting].
3) Once you have worked up your confidence in getting hurt, and your own abilities, get sparring with a friend. Practice lots, keep at it. There's lots of threads round here about sparring, fightclubs and learning to fight - you can't go three pages without bumping into one.
About now, you should be a more formidable target for bullies.
Or you could just continue on with the first 2 steps, and get a rep for being a harsh, battle-hardened, crazy-arse bastard, that doesn't have anything to loose, and would _love_ to make someone's day. Or at least it worked for a friend of mine. Your Mileage May Vary

How sharp does a comb need to be? How sharp it "too" sharp for combing your hair?

There are these combs that girls use that have a metal spike built in, for parting the hair. Having this premade would remove a lot of suspicion raised by scrape marks etc...

You might as well use a sharp pencil.
Unless you stab me some in a place making me uncapable of moving I'm just going to get madder. Then in my defense say you stabbed me.
There really is no reason to stab a kid in a school fight anyways.

I really thought he was talking about the handle of his comb, but eh now I think about it, I have no idea what kind he has.

Getting hurt ain't too bad of an idea. Could help you learn to deal with pain.

Yes, do that. And one of two things will happen:
- They will call your bluff, and pummel you even more; or
- They will think the gun is real, report it, and the next you know you're either:[list:324386d21f]
- bleeding out on the ground after police decide to shoot first; or
- police decide not to shoot first, and you spend at least 12 months in prison, with your new roommates making good use of your pretty mouth.
[/list :324386d21f]
It's a ridiculous idea, and I would suggest that if you try it, you deserve what is coming to you.

Its real easy, though Ive personally never had a problem letting fear stop me from a fight, Ive had a couple friends that did have that problem. And I always had to fight for them, luckily I had an older brother who used me as a grappling dummy and sparring partner when he would buy close quarters combat books, so I learned to fight and learned how to take a hit pretty damn quickly. One day it just came to me when I was sitting around with my friends, they were trying to get me to show them how to defend themselves, I was really joking around when I said it, but finally I said "why dont the two of you just wrestle around and see what happens, anything goes and I'll break it up if it gets out of hand." Well they did, and just like two guys wrestling around, dominance has to be gotten and both wanted it.
Finally after a little while of waiting for any real action, and alot of instigations from me, they actually started beating the piss out of each other. It was really funny to watch, but when all was said and done, they werent afraid of getting hit, well not enough to stop them from fighting, and they finally started standing up for themselves.

Another easy and quick quick way would be to go into boxing for about a month and they show you how to take hits and throw some nice combos and soon enough you will be able to take all those bullies.

A month is nowhere near enough time to become a half decent boxer.

Try six months of regular training and lessons to be competent. Twelve months or more to be proficient. (Note I said proficient, not professional.)
