You mistake what i mean General. I was referring to the blade of the hacksaw itself. It wouldnt be a very thick knife but it would work. I will take some pictures of it if i can remember.

Yes i know. I found you can do some mods to the nozzle bit and most let you twist till its a pinprick stream than does have around 4 meter range i think never tested it.

Someone from the something Awful forums made a kickass flamethrower. He didn't type up a guide to it as such, more an analysis of it but you can tell how to make it from that.
Here it is:

I'll try that out one day too when I round up the equipment.

when I was younger, I created some throwing stars using some scalpel blades from staples, and some low temp maliable plastic as a hub They didn't fly particularly well, but they were scarily lethal.
It's scary where you can buy stuff at the age of 14.

hehehe, my old trick for buying potassium chlorate tabs, I don't know a thing about aquariums, and I don't wanna end up in a discussion about it, so I blag it in a simlar way to this:
My boss asked me to pick up some.......erm.......what are they called? super fish oxygen pills or something?! Yeah its for the aquarium in the office or something. Do you sell anything like that?! Oh good, how much? £1.99 ahhhh good......oh could I have a receipt with that aswell please........cheers....Bye!
Same goes on the outdoor market for Sodium chlorate (They sell it £1 a tub, old stuff, without the fire depressant)
Something along the lines of......
Hmmmm, will this work on the weeds on my path? ahhhh excellent, i'll take it!

Update on the crap ive built: About last year me and my buddy made a small cannon out of a cherry tree we cut down its was about four inches around. we drilled a straight hole down it. Then we drilled anouther small hole near the back for the fuse. We shot marbles and shit out of it. We used black powder by the way. It took a while to figure out how to get it to shoot and not just blow the pressure out of the fuse hole though because the hole was a bit to big. We put the fuse in then packed the hole with newspaper.
Oh yea. Thanks every body for the good responses and not fucking up my thread with bitching. I'll take my time and add a rep point to every one on here.
...T3D I tried dude.

I've made quite a few. At home once I found a butter knife with a broken wooden handle so i wrapped nylon cord around it (the bare shank) to make an overly professional looking knife. I used my dad's angle grinder and his sharpening stone to give it a decent edge. It doesn't stay sharp for very long but it looks fucking sick. The cord needs to be re-tightened every few uses too.
Another was a scrap piece of 2" bar stock that was about 13 or so inches long. I cut the rough shape of it in with my school's plasma cutter and I gave it a better surface a better edge with the angle grinder. I tempered it using an oxyacetylene torch and a bucket of coolant. I only tempered the edge so it was all samurai style. The shape ended up being almost like a true samurai but I didn't get the tempering anywhere near even so it curved into a bit of a boomerang shape. it still looks decent, but nowhere near how good I imagined it as.
When i was younger i used to take scrap pieces of metal and just chop them into the shape of a knife using a hack saw. I made a few like that and only one was decent looking.
[Also i forgot to mention. I made a knife out of aluminum wires, some kind of porous paper, a shit tonne of superglue and a few very thin sheets of plastic that i found. It doesn't set off metal detectors and its good for quite a few slashes and an endless number of stabs. Im proud of it.

crazy white guy "The cord needs to be re-tightened every few uses too."
Get some twine from like wal-mart or something soak the twine then replace the cord with the twine and blow dry it. When the twine dries it tightens like crazy it will hold forever. It will help to smear a bit of super glue on the twind after you dry it to hold it in place so it don't come unraveled.

The shank is too small to get a decent handle with just wrapping of twine or cord. I used a fairly thick cord That gives it a bit of give. Its comfortable but not very practical. I just got back to school so I hope to have a new Tanto-style blade to show off to bomb shock in a week or two. I'd like ideas on what to do with this new one
The only things I'm dead set on doing is a long straight blade and a black finish. I need ideas for the grip and tempering procedures.

me and my friends made dart shooters out of tape needles and straws and they worked well. Proly couldn't kill any one though.
Edit: My friends also made a type of melee weapon out of about 20 or so needles and a piece of cardboard. Some people now have really nasty scars.

I Built a pretty useless shank outta sheet metal and scrap wood, deadly sharp tho.
Im working on a set of knuckle dusters at the moment, I'll post Instructions for those when they are finished.
Also, I made a little "finger shank" (no idea what it's called, someone tell plz.) thats painfully easy to make and very lethal.
But I'd be interested to hear a little bit more about the Coat hanger crossbow you made, as I'd like to build one myself

The coat hanger cross bow wasent that hard to make but as I said it wouldent kill any one just something to play with when your bored.
All I did was cut the bottom part out of one hanger and bent a bit into a bow shape and made the string with braided rubber bands. then I mounted the bow on another caot hanger and put a little clip on the end with zip ties to hold the string. Then when you opened the clip it would shoot.use two fingures fot he arrow rest the ruber band hit your fingeres evry now and then but you dont really feel it.

To anyone thinking of making the P A luty SMG, take a lot of caution. I watched the test of one of the devices and there were some very complete failures. I Would say that no one should make it but I'm sure someone will. So if you do plan to make one, make sure that the breech is reinforced and that the barrel is perfectly in line with the breech. They don't mention that in the book. I would also suggest that you weld the hydraulic tube to the collar so that it comes off with the collar. That will assure a better and straighter bond than with glue and friction alone.

A shiv is a nice makeshift weapon since it can be crafted from almost anything, making it most popular in prisons.
A decent shiv can be made from two chopsticks, a wire and a razor blade. Insert the latter between the two sticks and bind it in place with the wire. Wrap the remainder of the sticks in wire for additional strength. It is easily concealed and just as good at cutting someone's throat as an actual knife.
Another efficient one is combining a sharpened glass shard with a split piece of wood and a rag. After stabbing somebody with it, twist and then break the handle off - the doctors will be having a really hard time removing the shard after that, presuming the target does not bleed to death beforehand.
Even more simple weapon is often used by football hooligans - a simple newspaper. Roll a newspaper as tight as you can, then fold it so it forms something like a triangle, the two ends fitting in your fist and the rest protruding from below. Soak it in water or beer (or piss on it if no other source of liquid is available) to increase weight and density. The newspaper will become heavy and rock-hard, easily capable of breaking glass windows or skulls.
If you want something more spectacular, a molotov cocktail is just the case. Either mix gasoline with motor oil at 1:1 proportion, or dissol | |
