You can make a real simple one by wrapping a coil around a nail and hook one end to a + side of a 1.5 volt bettery and the other to a - side of a 1.5 volt battery. Then just touch the nail to what ever you wanna magnatise. Only thing you could do with a electro magnet would be to uncharge a magnetic strip. But ill take a look at it for you and see if I can come up with a plan to get free games. Eh? Any time you have current moving through a conductor you will create an electromagnet. Take a copper wire and hook it up to the positive and negative terminals of a battery; you just made an electromagnet. If you want to increase the strength of the field, just coil the wire so that there is a lot of current flowing around a small space. What do you mean by 'shape in such a way that it doesn't make a full circuit?'
