San Pedro cactus contains roughly .33% mescaline. So I do stand corrected. It contains Mescaline in the same way that n/a beer contains alcohol. Where in the fuck are you that sp seeds are illegal? -- Posted by Ronith on 10:17 pm on Mar. 18, 2002 Here's the deal: San pedro cactus and Peyote aretwo different kinds of cactus. The way one extracts the mescaline (and this does work!) in the San pedro cactus is to take about a foot long segment, maybe 6'' in diameter, de-spine it, peel the skin off and cut away the dark green soft layer that surrounds the actual interior of the cacti. Then just consume the DARK green layer. The affects of San Pedro are very similar to LSD (anywhere from .75 - 2.75 times) San Pedro does taste like fucking cat pee though, so i suggest either preparing it a different way, or adding seasonings. I live in the desert, so keeping them alive would be no problem, and keeping large quantities would be cool as well.
