The stuff you can make from bleach isnt anything like what you described! it's not anywere near as hard to make as what you dramatise it to be! and it only produces potassium chlorate! proper C-4 is made with R.D.X which is about as hard to make as what you said chlorate from bleach was. You contradict yourself a few times too! first you say "it is possible make plastic explosives from bleach, that isnt C-4" which implies you know that the shit from bleach is'nt C-4, but then you say "so yu cant just break into a college university for a few hours and come out with 50 pounds of C-4" which implies that it is C-4, so whats the dilly with that? I also have FFF and FF powder. I just take sum of that...put it in a cut open tennis ball..stick a fuse in thru a small hole and well...boom. Composition 4 is RDX (cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine), which is synthesized by nitrating hexamine (hexamethylenetetramine), commonly used as a military & camping solid tablet fuel.  The reaction must be performed at controlled temperatures, and requires a mixture of highly concentrated but non-fuming sulfuric and nitric acids.  Very dangerous, and not for someone without proper laboratory training.  I wouldn't try it myself.  C4 is plasticized with 9% plasticizers (poly-isobutylene, motor oil, and di-(2-ethylhexyl)-sebacate).  The plasticizers themselves are somewhat exotic and difficult to get ahold of... other compositions are plasticized with more common materials (I believe the original C-1 used a simple low-melting wax as a binder). -- Posted by Lord Storm on 1:28 pm on Mar. 12, 2002 I dont mean to sound like an idiot but where and how do you get your info, Zambosan? I was born with the stomach of a cow... so's I can digest all the cellulose in those science texts. :) Actually, I'm a computer engineer by profession, but I was pretty obsessed with chemistry when I was younger (both my parents were chemists, & my father has a PhD in chemical engineering).  Anyways, I have pretty good visual recall; so if I've read something or have experience in a particular topic, I can assemble what I know, and then supplement it with any additional info with a quick (1-2 minute) web search. The web is full of garbage, but there's a lot of gems out there too... the trick in becoming an expert in anything lies in being able to formulate the right questions.  For example, the C4 question; I've known for a long time that it's based on RDX; I know it has other names: cyclonite, hexogen, cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine.  I also know that it's formed by nitrating hexamine, and I've made hexamethylenetriperoxideamine (HMTD) plenty with the same compound.  I remembered that the plasticizers were an isobutylene polymer, but couldn't remember the other components, so a quick search on google.com and I've got 2 pages, one of which has the exact ratios, and the chemical names.  Next time, I might remember all of it... it's just a steady process of increasing one's knowledge. I love the web... Zambosan said about C4 above already.Plasticisers proportions are Polyisobutylene 2.1%,Motor oil 1.6% and Di-(2-ethylhexy)sebecate 5.3% Italian WW2 plastic was RDX 78.5%, Nitroglycerin or Nitroglycol 17.5% and Petroleum jelly 4%. Where do you work... and how old are you??? how much do you get paid??? lol thats my best question for you because im only 15 and im really into computers but i want to get paid the most that i can threwout my life.... please answer... -- Posted by Zambosan on 11:27 am on Mar. 13, 2002 ILK: this is off-topic, but okay. :) I don't feel like disclosing my company's name for sake of anonymity, but I work for a consulting firm that specializes in embedded systems design and ASIC/System-on-Chip design and verification services.  Our customers are a who's-who of major semiconductor and computer equipment manufacturers (Intel, TI, Phillips, 3Com, Cisco, etc.) I'm 24 years of age, have a bachelor's degree in computer engineering, and gross roughly $74k a year.  Computers are a great field, but a very broad one, and specialization is only increasing.  If you're serious, I recommend CE or an equivalent degree; some schools offer a combined CS/EE degree that is basically the same, although you don't always get the embedded systems (tightly integrated digital/analog hardware, microprocessors, and software) experience you get with a custom-tailored CE curriculum.  It's a tough curriculum, but after making it through, I can honestly say I understand just about every component in your PC, your network or sound card, in your anti-lock brake system in your car, in your cellphone, or PDA... and could probably be a contributing member of a design team of any of the above.  In the meantime, do your best in your public education, EVEN if it sucks (mine did) and isn't all that interesting.  And read every technical manual, web site, or publication you can get your hands on, take shit apart, try to learn how it all fits together.  Don't worry if you're overwhelmed at first, even if you only understand 1% of it just try to make progress.  It's the essence of hacking in the true meaning of the word. :cool: -- Posted by Potassium on 11:54 am on Mar. 13, 2002 It is very easy!
