-- Posted by jmb1125 on 7:22 pm on Mar. 25, 2002 Huh? None of the devices you mentioned are commercially available to the public. They are class B explosives.

-- Posted by Hergor on 6:12 am on Mar. 26, 2002 maybe you could try mining suppliers but you'd need a license, that's for sure...

-- Posted by OoxHighVoltagexoO on 12:27 pm on Mar. 26, 2002 WAIT..You m-100, m-80, and m-500 arent available to the public?? Since when? I have been buying m-80's and m-100's from Ohio, USA for over 5 years at Phantom Fireworks and from another small time firworks maker named Joe...Or are these different than the class B ones you are talking about??
-- Posted by OoxHighVoltagexoO on 12:30 pm on Mar. 26, 2002 Wait..What do you mean m-80, m-100, and m-500 arent available to the public??? Ive been buying m-80's and m-100's every year for 5 years from Ohio , USA from Phantom Fireworks and a private fireworks maker....Ive seen m-500's at his place but from what I understand they are weaker of the three...You said they are class B explosives..Are we thinking of two different things???

Okay, here's the whole fucking story. The term "M-80" has nothing to do with millimeters, like everyone seems to think. It's a military designation applying to the flash composition inside. "M-80 flash composition." Just like M-16, M-79, ect. An M-80 is the military's pyrotechnic device. Now, some fireworks places claim to sell such things, but they by law they cannot.
-- Posted by johnny 99 on 10:19 pm on Mar. 26, 2002 Yea, I've bought m80s in tennessee , kentucky & wyoming and they just suck! But I have electrically fired hoffman devices from the military that are the same size, And those fuckers wll take a leg off.
-- Posted by jmb1125 on 10:29 pm on Mar. 26, 2002 Johnny knows....Those so-called M-80's have 50 milligrams of flash.....The same as a Black Cat firecracker.
-- Posted by OoxHighVoltagexoO on 11:34 am on Mar. 27, 2002 The M-80's I get from Phantom kinda suck but are fun for what I use them for...The ones the guy makes privately that my dad knows are definately REAL m-80 and real m-100's by your description..The m-80 can blow two mail boxes to shreds pretty nice and shatters the plastic ones...The m-100's I get from him are pretty fuckin good too and strapped to four cans of spray paint and thrown by a car was fuckin amazing...I just recently ran out of them or id show you a picture of them with my web cam but wai until 4th of July and ill show you...PEACE
-- Posted by johnny 99 on 12:09 pm on Mar. 27, 2002 As ,JMB said. we used to get them from mexico when I was a boy in L.A. And they were quit powerfull, but I haven't seen any like that in years. Our favorite thing to do was extend the fuse, light a half dozen, and then run across the top of someones stacked cinderblock fence dropping them in the holes. this would quite efectivelly destroy the fence usually , if the m80s fell down far enough into the collumn of cinderblocks. Thats how powerful they were. The ones I have now we enjoy throwing in each others tool bags. But they they don't really cause any damage.
-- Posted by jmb1125 on 7:38 pm on Mar. 27, 2002 They still sell such things in Mexico, but the quality is piss-poor. The tubes are rolled out of newspaper and paste, the ends are plugged with crumbling plaster, and the fuse is string with some shitty sulfur-looking composition glued onto it. And they skimp on the amount of flash inside, because that's the most expensive part.
