-- Posted by xenonalieninfo on 8:46 pm on Mar. 20, 2002 you were right abotut potassium (i'll blame it on spelling), but parafin. matches are ingited with friction coursing hest to light POTASSIUM , i'aqm sorry phosphrous ignites in oyxgen. but to make a crate, from a bomb made out of matches whatttttt, try TNT mixed with matches.

white phosphorous ignites in air, red phosphorous doesn't, they use red P on the strikers.

If you powder down the heads and mix with a chlorate oxidising compound, it'll burn at about the power(sometimes exceeding) of black powder.

How did you get match powder to burst a polumna? I'd be interested in the details there. I've never gotten that to work...
-- Posted by None on 8:47 am on Mar. 21, 2002
i used 'redheads' wooden safety matches. australian brand. i just powdered it finely, used old 1/4" blasting fuse and thats about all... i made them right-angle triangles and they would always burst out the two sides next to the 90deg.

Interesting. My black powder polumnas work just fine, but I gave up on match powder ones long ago.

-- Posted by XxBULAxX on 11:01 pm on Mar. 21, 2002 You can get them at gun shops if you have a F.O.I.D(Firearms Owners Identification) and sometimes a special gun reloading liscense

-- Posted by Juan dela Cruz on 7:22 am on April 8, 2002
uh... tennis balls? don't those thing bounce back or sumthin? are there any other less dangerous things?
-- Posted by paladinpress on 9:04 am on April 8, 2002 If you blow up a tennis ball normaly form what I It just rips anf throws to or thee nice size pieces but nothing raly to worry about if you just use your head ***worldgreatest built-in safety device USE IT PPLZ***
-- Posted by SOCKPUPPet on 9:31 pm on April 8, 2002 hmmm...well, i guess you could just find a heavier(but not too heavier) ball or object to put em in, and once something explodes, hasnt it usually lost all shape and thus, all ability to bounce back? :) oh well...whatever works for ya, its just a tiny one anyways...cant make booms with matches, ya know?:)
-- Posted by OoxHighVoltagexoO on 8:10 am on April 9, 2002 What do you mean you CANT MAKE BOOMS WITH MATCHES??? Care to elaborate??
-- Posted by spootyguy on 1:30 pm on April 9, 2002
If yo have a lot of time on your hands you can make a decent BP substitute, like Sicopath said. Just add some sodium or potassium chlorate , a bit less of chlorate than match powder, and powder it down really fine.
