Giving chemistry illeterate people recipes, is like giving a retard a knife.  Anyways, I use 6 parst potassium nitrate, 4 parts sugar.  DO NOT heat both toghther on a stove! melt the sugar, turn off flame, add KNO3...Then insert wick while it hardens -- Posted by XxBULAxX on 4:27 pm on Mar. 31, 2002 a "part" can be any mesurment..If you put in 2 teaspoons of KNO3 in the mixture, then you put 1 teaspoon of sugar in. You just double the amount of pottasium nitrate then u do for the sugar. A part, get it?
