BTW, i've heard u can freeze metal and crack it with a hammer if u spray it with freon(like chains or locks). I have access to lotsa freon but i want to know if this is true. is it? -- Posted by Hergor on 4:34 pm on Feb. 27, 2002 yes it is true. in frozen state the metal of the chain is hard and inflexible. if you get it cold enough and hit it with a hammer it can't absorb the energy transferred to it by the hammer and it will burst. -- Posted by Just0nePepsi on 6:54 pm on Feb. 27, 2002 If you can get home and have a friend that can help you. You could hacksaw it off.
