Well what do you intend to make? A single shot(pipe nipple,plug and coupler) or a single shot slap-fire or something more complicated?

I've been kicking this around recently. It's nothing serious thus far, but I thought perhaps I could give out some inspiration. For starters, it needs a cocking rod and a fired shell will be too long to drop given the current design. Thoughts?

Hm.. how would this really work? well.. I mean how do you ready it to fire? what pulls the spring back? I got alot of questions about this desighn.
Also about that White Resistance thing. That thing is kick ass. Especialy the tips on not getting caught in a criminal investigation.

Like I said, it needs a cocking lever. You would affix a metal rod to the piston and cut out part of the tube to accomodate it. You could have the rod stick out the back or the side, it doesn't really matter. I would go with the side, since that would make it much more compact. I think it would also benefit from some sort of locking mechanism for the barrel...

Kurt Saxon wrote a book callled "4 winds shot gun" {He also wrote the PMJB series} I have the PDF if you want it total cost of materials is about $5 and a couple of brains cells to build it

Zero, I got an idea, once the tube is made, take a 1/4 inch thick, round pece of metal (looks like a quarter), to fit the top tube. drill a screw half way through the middle, tie a strong test line to the screw. use a smaller diameter spring, and weld it to the round metal thing, make sure the line is dangleing through the spring. place this in the tube. weld the end of the spring to the metal. put a shell in, pull the string back, so the spring is tightend, releace. the screw hits the prime, and blows the powder. if you want, make two, and weld them together, tie the strings together, and tape with duct tape. presto! a sawed-off 24 gudge (2 twelve shells) shotgun. I'm thinkin' use 20 gudge shells, just think, a 40 gudge sawed-off shotgun, with a 4 foot spread. And how 'bout welding 4, or even 6 tubes together! 100 gudge? what? 10 foot spread? what? ;-)
