The piece of metal should be cropped to go over your knuckles, the outer glove stops the metal from falling out, the inner one protects your hand from abrasions. -- Posted by Aceman1126 on 7:05 pm on Jan. 1, 2002 take a piece  of acryilic (spelled wrong) plastic, and cut out knukles from that. They work good, just don't hit anything really hard, like a brick wall, or they will break. the good thing about the plastic is that you can sharpen them to make spiked knuckles! Also metal detectors won't pick them up. A good place to get a good sized piece of plastic is a hospital's bio-med shop. Cutting it by hand is a bitch so make sure you have a band saw or a jig saw. You get a rod of putty like stuff with a hardener strip running through the centre of the stuff, and when you mix the two together and expose them to air, they dry and harden 'like steel'. Its pretty solid stuff, you can file it down to points if required, and it doesnt shatter easily. Mix some up, and mould a four-fingered ring thing onto your hand with a couple of nice rounded bits sticking out (or sharpened, if your a dirty evil scumbag). You could stick some rocks (or razor blades) into it before it sets if you dont have enough to make pointy bits. Get hold of a tungsten-carbide tile-cutting saw, you know, the one with the weird black grit stuck on the cutting surface. Hit the grit with a hammer (its kinda brittle, and its no good trying to cut it off) and pick up the bits that fall off. Glue them with some strong epoxy to the knuckles of any set of brass knuckles. This stuff rips skin easily... Now, when you punch some guy in the face, parts of his face will be left on the knuckles.. :) sweet..! Or you could set a bunch of grit in the points of some knuckles made with plumber's putty... that way it'd stick in there and you wouldnt have to worry about glue... Thats all theoretical, of course :) -- Posted by Pro on 9:07 pm on April 6, 2002 Cant yall just cast a pair. take your fist and push it down into some really fine sand and then pour molten steel into it but put a bar or some thing sticking out of the back for a handle later. well after it hardens pull it out by the bar and make another impression into the sand with your fist this time wiggle it around a bit to make it bigger. pour steel into it about half of the mold and coat the imprint that you made earlier with lube take the immpression with the with the bar and putit down into the center of the second mold. let it cool and make one for the other hand put it between two pairs of gloves. makes a nice imprint on the guys head. -- Posted by paladinpress on 12:26 pm on April 7, 2002 Its is posionous and mabable but what about just lead for use of aquacition and ease of making..   just a thought -- Posted by Pro on 7:46 am on April 8, 2002 yes lead would work and it would give a little extra weight in the punch but i have some bad experiences with lead. you have to get the perfict thickness or it will break itself or brake your hand if your not care full. but i have found that striking with the open hand yaknow right on the bone in yer palm. it just shatters what ever is in its path if used correctly.     http://www.bombshock.com
