Should read

What a bunch of crap. For basic black powder all ingredients are mixed dry and not by volume but by weight. The basic mix is 376g of KNO3 to 75g of air float charcoal to 50g of sulfur. You only add liquid if you are going to coat husks or make black match for fireworks. All ingredients are measured by weight and you grinding everything into powder before mixing. If you want to use water to make the KNO3 go into the charcoal ( I have been told it works better, but I have not seen a difference) You heat the mix to a boil with 175 ml of distilled water until everything stops floating at the top of the water while constantly stirring with wood spoon the mixture. (use a non-flame heat source because fumes or spillage can catch fire. Remove from fire and add 150 mlof denatured alcohol stirring constantly rapidly. Once cooled wring out as much liquid as posible in cheese cloth. Do not use medal instruments to transfer to cloth.

While still wet grate through a stainless steel or copper screen. Be careful not to add alcohol to too dry of a mixture because it most likely will explode. Do not store in g;ass jars or medal cans like pait cans Ziplock bags are best. All items used nust be clean and chemical free
