Blowguns and Blowgun ammo

In this article I shall attempt to explain the use and manufacture of a powerful blowgun and making darts for the gun.

Some states specifically prohibit hunting with blowguns. Other states ignore them. In Michigan, blowguns are not mentioned in the hunting regulations.

I've shot my blowgun through an indoor archery chronograph to measure the velocity of my darts. Using my 7' long .62cal blowgun, my 20" hunting darts had a velocity of 185fps. With my 3' extension removed, the resulting 4' long blowgun shot the same dart at only 145fps (about 22% slower).
