Post a reply on this thread if you know about cloning!

Okay, If I were to take a clone, how old should it be (weeks, stage, ect.), and if I continued the cycle of cloning each crop at the same stage, then I would only need two different rooms for the two different light times (correct me if i’m wrong which I probably am). This is assuming that you take a clone when a plant is in its vegitative stage (just a guess). thanks

I pretty sure that is doesn’t matter when u take a clone of a plant. I dont think it would matter at what stage it is seeing that the stages are for the bud and not the leaves.

Give some details on exactly what you are doing, such as the plants you are working with.
You can “take a clone” at any time. However, old tissue is not as viable as young tissue, so old tissue may result in higher losses.
Meristem or mericell culture is really a better technique, but of course is more complicated.

cut off the top of you plant with about five or six braches brancheing out of it. trim off the bottom two and dip is in rooting gel, puchasable at garden depot. then put it in water until it roots then plant it in some good soil. clones dont really matter WHEN they are cut. but i would make my cuts during mid to late vegitative or but not after that.

Cloning is to take a small part of the plant, and grow that insted of planting another seed. Maybe thats not what you meant, but whatever.

Take a cutting of the plant along the stalk, about 1″ below a joint (where the stem hits stalk). As long as it is in vegatative state, you should have no trouble at all. begin the clones on a vegatative light cycle, till you get decent root growth, then do what you want with it.

A friend I knew about eight years ago had a G-13 cloning set up. It’s rather involved, so before you even bother make sure you have access to one plant that’s at least mid-grade quality, perferably kind.
I’m going to describe his “Jack’s” setup as detailed as I can remember, then a breif paragraph about scaling down.
Jack and his girl split up so he calls me one night to borrow the truck and move his shit out. Jack always had the best bud so I said sure. I get there, load up all his boxes we leave. We go to his new pad, unload all but about 4 or 5 boxes then leave out. We ride half way across town and go to another new apartment. Nothing inside but a TV on a stand near the window on a timer. We bring in the last boxes and he starts to open them. He’s got three lighting rigs, lots of fertalizer, and three types of soil mix. Also three boxes with plants in tiny, medium, and large “only 18″ high”.
First we go into a large walk-in closit with the tiny and medium plants. Tiny in back on coke crates about three inches off floor. Two flourescent tubes about 30″ hung abovethese. Then a TV stand with medium plants and a MH “Metal Halide” light from closet ceiling. One box fan blowing out of room. Fl lts stay on 24 hrs. a day. MH lt. is on 12 hr timer, dawn till dusk. This is his vegatative room. Other bedroom closet we hang two HPS lights. “High Pressure Sodium”. Two racks about 36″ high with large, 18″ plants. This is his “flowering room”.
Jack’s cloning op was on a 90-day rotation. As you harvest from 18″ plants you cut your clones to start anew. These clones get 30 days low on floor under Fl lts. Then up on stand under MH lts. for second 30 days. Then into flowering room for last thirty days. Basically, every thirty days you have 1.5 oz. to harvest.
Jack said he made $16,000 a yr. just off his $100 quarters of kind. I guess you could make this set-up smaller or larger, but he seemed to have it down good. P.S. The flowering room was on a strict 12/12 lt. schedule. This ran dawn to dusk to avoid night time heat detection. His cloning mix was heavy vermiculite and rockwell cubes. He went to the safehouse once a week to check his irrigation rig and only harvested once every thirty days.
Time to look Jack up. He grew some fire-ass dank!
