matches bomb

— Posted by xenonalieninfo on 8:18 pm on Mar. 20, 2002

if you have come and read this you are a funcking wank, bumb fucker.

matches are made from sulper and prophous(spelt wrong) the only thing that shit is going to do is burn, Not explosed. You need oxygen in the equation( such as sulper, nitric acid, the have nitrogen ,oxygen sulper hydrogen, if you seperate it probaley you get a bomb.

try expertmenting then put it on this FAQ, not before with half asssssss shit that burns.

How dose that help us? C’mon if you KNOW somthing post it. I mean this is a wasted thread. I say delete it to the Mods. It’s pointless and noone is gonna try it.

Matches are sulfur, potassium chlorate (usually) and parafin. The phosphorus is on the strikepad (on safety matches, at least) and is what makes them light. Phosphorus and chlorates react in a nasty manner, and sulfur does as well.

You can indeed make bombs with matches. I’ve been making match head cratermakers for ages. Granted, matches aren’t the best choice for a great many things, but in good confinement they’re usually the cheapest filler explosive and the most readily available.

you were right abotut potassium (i’ll blame it on spelling), but parafin. matches are ingited with friction coursing hest to light POTASSIUM , i’aqm sorry phosphrous ignites in oyxgen. but to make a crate, from a bomb made out of matches whatttttt, try TNT mixed with matches.

white phosphorous ignites in air, red phosphorous doesn’t, they use red P on the strikers.
as zero said, they usually use KClO3 in matchheads, which is very friction sensitive when mixed wiv phos.
they work ok in firecrackers/cratermakers etc. ive even used them in polumnas. well the powder…

If you powder down the heads and mix with a chlorate oxidising compound, it’ll burn at about the power(sometimes exceeding) of black powder.
This is one way I know of making match heads useful.

How did you get match powder to burst a polumna? I’d be interested in the details there. I’ve never gotten that to work…

i used ‘redheads’ wooden safety matches. australian brand. i just powdered it finely, used old 1/4″ blasting fuse and thats about all… i made them right-angle triangles and they would always burst out the two sides next to the 90deg.

Interesting. My black powder polumnas work just fine, but I gave up on match powder ones long ago.

You can get them at gun shops if you have a F.O.I.D(Firearms Owners Identification) and sometimes a special gun reloading liscense

75% saltpeter
15% sulpher
15% charchol

my MIx was adding 10% sodium Nitrate just for some added flavor, thats the thing about this feaild Its about about new ways allways changing and eveloving some time s good sometimes bad but that people laern and beleive it or not then “””BOMBS””””” if you wish to call them that take on a certain ltttle signature, not everyone likes to do things the same bud thats what makes it fun find out how the guy next to you made his what is his MIx what type of fuse does he use… limitless    gotta love that

— Posted by SOCKPUPPet on 4:45 pm on April 7, 2002

eh…do they still make those blue devil strike anywhere matches i loved as a child? but anyways…you can make a small flash bomb with “blues” some way..gotta get back to you on how…but you put the matches inside a tennis ball…they are probably powdered, then ya throw…but as i said, ill have to get back to you on how…

— Posted by Juan dela Cruz on 7:22 am on April 8, 2002

uh… tennis balls? don’t those thing bounce back or sumthin? are there any other less dangerous things?
thanks bros.

— Posted by paladinpress on 9:04 am on April 8, 2002

If you blow up a tennis ball normaly form what I It just rips anf throws to or thee nice size pieces but nothing raly to worry about if you just use your head ***worldgreatest built-in safety device USE IT PPLZ***

— Posted by SOCKPUPPet on 9:31 pm on April 8, 2002

hmmm…well, i guess you could just find a heavier(but not too heavier) ball or object to put em in, and once something explodes, hasnt it usually lost all shape and thus, all ability to bounce back? 🙂 oh well…whatever works for ya, its just a tiny one anyways…cant make booms with matches, ya know?:)

— Posted by OoxHighVoltagexoO on 8:10 am on April 9, 2002

What do you mean you CANT MAKE BOOMS WITH MATCHES??? Care to elaborate??

— Posted by spootyguy on 1:30 pm on April 9, 2002

If yo have a lot of time on your hands you can make a decent BP substitute, like Sicopath said. Just add some sodium or potassium chlorate , a bit less of chlorate than match powder, and powder it down really fine.
Goes pretty fast, and in a small 35mm film canister or a golf ball or something they have quite a good ablility to make dogs shit themselves all the way to the next county…
Only problem is all that scraping youve gotta do, or risking reducing the power by boiling, and if you use strike-anywheres and set the mix off when you powder it down you are gonna say goodbye to all the powder in the pot you are mixing (thats why i do a few small bowlfuls rather than all at once, just in case) and probably the skin off your hands…
