can the red and white stuff on the end of matches be used or mixed with anything to make a simple explosive

i’m also wonder if anyone can tell me what the lil rocks in pop its actually are-thanx

You will be surprised what the red and white stuff is capable of .
An interesting(yet slightly questionable)experiament can be done by 2 large bots(same size)one nut(to fit)nut screws on one third of its thread,middle third is filled with match shavingssecond nut is screwed on tight.
SLOWLY.friction causes heat.Drop it from up high.if it lands right its a bullet in two directions and a surprisingly loud bang for a box of matches.
Match savings have been used for everything from fuses to propellant to main charge substance for the home handy man.The finer you gring it the faster it will burn  ….it aint no nitro cellulose though…

I lovingly refer to these as “finger removers”.  Never, never, never do this.
