Scars

— Posted by qube on 5:22 pm on Mar. 15, 2002

Anyone know how to remove scars an easy way which were obtained from burning or cutting? I got a scar from a burning baloon rubber which was painful.
Ive heard something about Benzoyl Peroxide being good on scarring.
Also before anyone asks it aint a huge scar from burning material its like a dark patch of skin, any ideas?

Scars naturally go away, most of the time…I’ve never had a burn scar, but I got hit from an enemies bomb with some shrapnel. Even though it wasn’t deep I still had a scar and it went away in a couple months…sorry I can’t help

— Posted by qube on 5:50 pm on Mar. 15, 2002

Yeah, most go away, just wanted to kno what to use to make it speed up going away……

cocoa butter is a lotion you can use to get rid of scars but it takes a few months and you have to use it everyday, you can get it anywhere. Laterdude:cool:

To remove scars caused by masturbation?

oh man , thats gross.
look , if its a recent scar , all i can think of is to get some kind of hypo-alergenic moisturising thing-it doesnt smell girly , use that on it , and get more protein in your diet to help normal skin to grow back.
just a suggestion , works for me , dont know if it will work for everyone.
dont know about long term scarring tho.

He who is the first to say such things must have tried it, or some shit like that.

I think my body has more scar tissue than regular skin, I have noticed that when a scar is cut again, provideing it’s not coterised when it is cut from srhapnel or something, that the scar area heals with the cut, and if that cut doesn’t scar then the original scar is partly eliminated, this could be expanded on if anyone knows what it is I’m trying to say

— Posted by rishka on 9:01 pm on Mar. 16, 2002

i know what you’re saying , by having another cut on top of the scar tissue , and by looking after the second cut so it doesnt scar , then it will make the original scar go away-new skin grow over it .
is that what you were talking about?

Rikisha you are one of the smartest people on here. you know almost evrything on just about anything.

Vitamin E also helps.  You can cut open capsules from a health food store and apply the oil directly to the skin.

— Posted by Rebo on 4:00 pm on Mar. 18, 2002

use vitamin e, but don’t just apply it. you need to firmly massage it onto the affected area & the scar will go away over a period of time. It doesn’t feel very good (feels like you are getting a shock over & over again), but It works….

Vitamin E oil helps a lot, you don’t have to cut up capsules, however, most corporate bastard (department) stores have it available in small bottles.

On a lighter note, a friend of mine was a surgeon for VERY higher ups in a branch of the army or something (memory fails me), he told me once about how he used to do this procedure for men who had extreme and usually strange burns all over their bodies. They’d tediously remove all the scar tissue as it begins to form, i believe by carefully scraping it off. This hurts like a bastard but once the initial growth of scar tissue is gone, regular skin will begin to grow in it’s place. A lot of effort but worth it for large scars i suppose, or if you’re just into an advanced form of picking scabs.
scars are tattoos with better stories

This has nothing to do with the aid of scars but:
I got this WICKED scar on my leg. I was running away frum a fire and I tripped and dropped my razor (for cutting rope) and it gashed all the way into my leg and dragged across almost the whole diamiter of my leg. I was bleeding profusly and the blood got in the way. I had to fish for the razor with plyers because it was lost in my leg. My friend gave my stitches (he’s good w/ medical shit) and I got away w/ it no infections or anything.
Now it’s a narly scar that shows off every inch of my clumsiness!

— Posted by chroniccrescent on 9:04 am on Mar. 26, 2002

dont get rid of scars! every scar has its own story to tell. u wouldnt beleive how much scars i have, my recent 1 is from when i carved my name into my forearm 1 time when i was drunk, looks cool though, dont get rid of them

— Posted by Egg411 on 10:27 am on Mar. 26, 2002

i read somewhere that you can remove tattoo’s by rubbing them with salt and water (over a LONG period of time).  i’m not sure if it means like epsom salt or just regular salt but it sounds like the idea behind it is to sand off the scar region and feather out the scared area to make it less noticeable.  i think it would work because sanding it would remove most of the scar tissue and it would be replaced with good skin.   as you do this put vitamin e, aloe and all the stuff everyone else said on it to help it and i think it would work. using a palm sander with some 600 grit wet/dry paper would probably work nice

Break out the belt sander if you got a big one

I carve lots of peoples names into my skin..
I have mine, Blakes, Nicoles, Brittanys, Cierras, loads of peoples names.
I’m a living, breathing yearbook!

— Posted by chroniccrescent on 12:01 pm on Mar. 26, 2002

did u ever get infected? a couple of my letters in my name got infected, but it wasnt serious

— Posted by XxBULAxX on 11:37 pm on Mar. 26, 2002

It won’t get infected if you use plenty of Hydrogen peroxide..This will keep infections out of the wound
