What do road flares have inn’im?

i think it’s partly red phosphorus. it’s reacting spontanously when added to strong oxidizers…

I’m pretty sure it’s sulfur, some charcoal, and strontium nitrate (gives it the bright red color).  The red phosphorous is just on the striking surface on the cap.

so they can be quite useful? but what about the ones that you shoot out of the gun??? i have like hundreds of those… and all i know to do with them is to shoot them at people 😀

the flares are basically a big ass match

if you wanna have some fun with them, fill up a plastic gas can, and take a road flare to the side

flares heat up very fast, so light the bitch and then throw it

makes a nice fireball 😮
