what in the hell can you do with potassium hydroclorate

— Posted by AbSoLuTeZeRo on 7:13 pm on Mar. 1, 2002

what the hell can you make from potassium hydroclorate, I saw it on the lab raid checklist, and I looked it up and cant find anything!!!

— Posted by Hergor on 7:29 pm on Mar. 1, 2002

potassium hydrochlorate or potassium hypochlorate?

— Posted by AbSoLuTeZeRo on 7:34 pm on Mar. 1, 2002

potassium hydrochlorate

— Posted by Hergor on 7:40 pm on Mar. 1, 2002

sorry, don’t know anything for potassium hydrochlorate… ūüôĀ

— Posted by AbSoLuTeZeRo on 7:44 pm on Mar. 1, 2002

oh well maybe someone else does

This “lab raid checklist” wouldnt happen to be from the anarchist’s cookbook would it?

— Posted by AbSoLuTeZeRo on 8:19 pm on Mar. 1, 2002

some terrorist manual i got on the internet
fairly decent

— Posted by AbSoLuTeZeRo on 11:25 pm on Mar. 1, 2002

does any one know what the fuck you do with this shit!!!

— Posted by AbSoLuTeZeRo on 9:52 am on Mar. 2, 2002

DOES ANY ONE HAVE THE FAINTEST IDEA WHAT THIS DOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

— Posted by Zero Dark on 10:12 am on Mar. 2, 2002

try cheking it out at a chemestry web site or a chemical site

— Posted by AbSoLuTeZeRo on 12:07 pm on Mar. 2, 2002

I already looked, but all I found was some dumb asses science project

Navy soldier no one cares. Your post are so stupid. Will you please leave!

— Posted by Navy Soldier on 1:03 pm on Mar. 2, 2002

No I won’t just one pepsi I can be here if I want JUST LIKE YOU. I can be deleted, JUST LIKE YOU, I can post things JUST LIKE YOU!! so were basically the same on the net so just let me be!

— Posted by AbSoLuTeZeRo on 10:49 pm on Mar. 2, 2002

Damn it all to hell! what in the fuckin hell does this fuckin shit do?!? I “borrowed” it, but so far all I can think of is melting shit with it. does this shit in anyway explode, or is it just a kool little acid like substance that I got from a hospital lab???

— Posted by AbSoLuTeZeRo on 12:07 pm on Mar. 3, 2002

who ever put this shit on the checklist was fuckin retarded, either that, or they know something no one else knows

There’s no such thing as “potassium hydrochlorate”. ¬†A hydroclorate is a complex of hydrochloric acid (HCl) with an organic base. ¬†Potassium is not organic, and when reacted with HCl, will produce potassium chloride (KCl), a salt substitute for low-sodium diets. Hydrochlorates are usually formed for delivering organic drugs into the bloodstream (epehedrine HCl, cocaine HCl, morphine HCl, etc.)

hahaha you got fucked!

— Posted by AbSoLuTeZeRo on 8:10 pm on Mar. 10, 2002

what the fuck was I smokin?? it was potassium hydroxide!!!

— Posted by Pyroblast on 10:22 pm on Mar. 10, 2002

Try looking in the military dimilitions hand book, under like make shift bombs.

— Posted by Zambosan on 9:55 am on Mar. 12, 2002

Okay, that’s more like it. ¬†KOH is a strong base, also called “lye”. ¬†Sound familiar? ¬†Ya know, Crystal Drano? ¬†I’ll leave you to peruse the older threads for an over-discussion of pressure “bombs”.

ahahahahahahahahaha my quest has ended!!!

— Posted by Sicopath on 3:11 am on Mar. 15, 2002

I’m sorta basic with chemistry, but I was thinking, If we mixed this potassium hydroxide with a calcium nitrate(it’s a sorta fertiliser) solution, a reaction would occur leaving a precipitate of Calcium hydroxide and the remaining ions would join making a solution of potassium nitrate?
If so, I think i’ve just described a way of making KNO3 from drano.

— Posted by ilovekayla on 8:58 am on Mar. 15, 2002

I think that would work wouldent it…. ZAM YOU BETTER TELL US LOL

— Posted by Zambosan on 9:59 am on Mar. 15, 2002

I’m pretty sure a metathesis reaction would take place… and Ca(OH)2 is only slightly soluble in water, so it should mostly precipitate out.

— Posted by ilovekayla on 11:13 am on Mar. 15, 2002

so what your saying is that it wouldent work?

— Posted by Zambosan on 11:51 am on Mar. 15, 2002

No no, I’m saying it probably will. ¬†You could filter out the precipitate, then claim the KNO3 with either fractional crystallization (if you really want to get as high a purity as possible), or displace it with alcohol.

— Posted by Sicopath on 5:00 pm on Mar. 15, 2002

Wow, and I worked that out from a high-school chemistry solubility table.

— Posted by Zambosan on 10:59 am on Mar. 18, 2002

ūüôā ¬†Hehe…
Anyways, the only caveat I have is I’m not *positive* the reaction will take place. ¬†Basically both compounds will dissociate because they have ionic bonds; all the ions will be floating around and attract each other. ¬†When two ions attract and form an insoluble compound, it will drop out of solution. ¬†So over time, all that will be left is the K+ and NO3- ions; when they come out of solution, you’ll have KNO3.

mmm interesting, multiple uses…
