Shorting out school
— Posted by NegetiveCreep on 5:49 pm on Feb. 24, 2002
Someone told me that if you unravel a paperclip and turn it into a U, slide on an eraser on as a handle and stick it in any electric socket you’ll short out the school. Thus, no power, no school (or atleast a short while of havoc and fun). Does this really work?

This sounds like it would work, im sure the fuses would blow, which they could change pretty easy i guess. Would have no power for a while those maybe a day, pretty fun!

One thing I should add… our school only controls part of the building that we’re in. The circut breaker is located in the part of the building which is locked up until 3 in the afternoon. Causing much fun for me. 🙂

hey not all rubers are made out of rubber some are made out of plastic so plastic would just melt and land on your hand an youll get burn the fuck out of , so just watch out for that

Oh brother. No, you’ll probably just trip the breaker that the outlet is on, perhaps turning off a few other outlets & possibly a light or 2. You’re certainly not going to over-amp the entire supply. That’s the whole principle between distributed power supplies as we know them… distributed overload protection to protect each major wire run against current above its rating.

i would try that but…we have fukin cameras everywhere but the changing rooms so how the fuk can i do that without being on camera????

Dont do it at all???

Use a rubber glove. No burns.

this works but it will only shut down the sercut that the outlet is on. now if you want some real havic set a blackpowder putty bomb near the gas storage… go boom

already do it but it dosent short out the entire school just the socket, it makes a cool noise though.

Fuck yeah thats a fuckin good idea i could do it both in the computer labs and the Servalence room so the cameras at my school will go out and all the fuckin computers b/c the wholes system of my school is operated my computers. and my friends will help (we are anarchists) we can shut down the entire fuckin school SWEET!

It would blow the main power but all schools have a back up generator. That’s why when u turn off all the light switches there r still a few lights on.

You can buy Power overloaders at some stores. They arn’t illegal and they are sweet. I have one that has 3 different settings. They plug into an outlet and u push the green, yellow,or red button and it will surge the socket.
I don’t know how it works but they’re pretty nifty but don’t always work. Also it can fuck it up just trying to do it.
I say the best method is pouring water all over it.

i dunno about paperclips but i know for a fact that resisters work you can buy them for like 5c each at a electronics store but they dont short out the whole school, just the outlet you do it to but if ya do it to heaps of outlets it is pretty cool.

It wont work for shorting out the whole school it wont even work for shorting out the whole roomshit doe anyone else here know anyhting about electrical enginering.. you have a socket on a wall it is on circut the circut runs to a juction box there should be one for each hall and from the subjunction box to a main junction box in the Janitors room. Now if you want to fry the school you have to crate a loop that does not go any higher then 20 AMP’s at twenty the Circut Overload Breakers kickin and shut the isolated circut down, Look up “Backfeeding, and Capcitor discharge devices” also you might have look building, a HV(High Voltage) generator it drops the Amps and rasis the voltz and that could fry the wireing with out tripping the breakers allowing it the surge to crisscross the shcool as it seeks the path of least resistance and I do not mean turns or junction boxesI mean Ohms. well that should be enough to get you going. My friend is a Electricain I wil ask him when he comes home today. He is allways good to go to when you want to make something vicousus with electricity
***Kemical that will only succed in shorthing out that side of the room. all they wil have to do is unplug it and flip the breaker

I good idea is to get a plug like from an old TV or sumthin split the cords, strip the rubber off the ends and wrap the now showing copper round the screws of a switch(u can get them @ hardware stores for like $0.70, doorbells should work to) tighten the screws up, plug into a socket, make sure the switch is off then flick it on and you should shut that circuit off. Its fucked up tho so watch out, it safely shut the circuit off at my house but when i did it @ school I buncha sparx blew up in my face but it still gets the job done!

Most schools have got circuit protection…
So just break into the circuit room and steal the fuses.

that sounds easier.
