scewer launcher

To build a scewer launcher you need a scewer(kabab stick),a pipe about 40 cm long with a diameter of 1 cm
and one of those fat red rubber bands, oh yeah and sticky tape.

To construct, cut the rubber band so it is no longer a loop but one strip and stick the ends to either side of one end of the pipe with shit loads of sticky tape, and this is the launcher.

To use, put the scewer inside the pipe and then pull it up against the rubber band and let go and it will shoot forwards. Make sure the tip of the scewer is still inside the pipe because it might not go through the pipe and get you in the finger, like it did me. It goes in pretty far to.

Note: the scewers are useless in the wind because they are so light, maybe try putting some weight onto the scewers or make a proper dart.

Remember to use heaps of sticky tape to put the rubber band on.

In the makeshift arsenal there’s a weapon called the “rock flinger” which  “…is capable of launching rocks around 150-180fps”
If you added a few rings or grooves to the design you could convert it to a skewer flinger, using the clothespeg as a trigger.

yeah i thought of adding and extension with a peg on it for a trigger but im not sure what you mean by adding a few rings and grooves, so if you could please tell me what you mean in more detail that would be great thanx.

By adding rings and grooves, I meant adding a guide in front of the elastic to help the skewer travel in a straight line, making it sorta effective for hunting small animals, an alternative would be to add a tassel to the end of the skewer(love those tassels) so that no matter how you fired it, it would go straight.
Tassels seem to slow down projectile speed though.

About the Makeshift arsenal, I got my copy from Section1.f2s.com

I recommend you download it, it’s one of the best and most accurate “handbooks” around.
